A day in the life of 3 bassets

Basset hounds can be very intersting dogs to observe. This blog is about 3 bassets that live in California.

It Only Takes A Look

One of the most interesting things I have noticed about basset hounds is that if one of them is mad at the other, it only takes a look for them to get the message across.  Today, I saw one of the basset hounds walking down the hall, where the other one was sitting.  As he neared the end of the hall, the basset sitting in the hall lifted his head and looked at him.  That one look must have relayed the message that the basset was not allowed down the hall.  He turned around and ran back to the living room.  Not a peep was uttered by either basset.

Hey again. Yea dogs have a very good ability to judge things like ear posisiton (dunno how that works on bassets), eyes and tail or general posisiton of the body. To make things fun, I think dogs are walking lie detectors. Lance generally knows my mood from a mile off and is very responsive to it. Its amazing how they do that and I respect it a great deal. It would be nice to have some of those senses. Also, what are the names of your 3 pooches?

Dogs are very good at body language.

Too very good. They are likely reading you more than you would like, if you knew.
