Bassets Do Get Embarrassed

Tonight I was watching the basset hounds, and one of them decided to jump up onto the couch.  Well, he miscalculated his jump, and ended up with his front paws on the couch, and his back legs and butt stuck between the ottoman and couch.  He looked really pathetic trying to get unstuck.  Of course, it was very funny seeing a basset hound stuck between a couch and ottoman, so I had to laugh at him as I helped him get unstuck.  He was so embarrassed that he went to one of the dog beds, and turned away from me for a good 15 minutes.  A bit put-out about me laughing at him.
I wonder if under all that fur his face was red?
