Basset getting into trouble
One of the things I love the most about basset hounds is how they always get into trouble. I am not sure if they mean to get into trouble, or if they just are so nosey that they do things that get themselves into trouble.
The other morning, I heard one of the three bassets urgently barking. I went to see what was wrong, and I found the basset hound standing in the small pond in my back yard. Luckly the pond was empty, however, how and why the basset hound climbed over all the rocks to get into the pond is beyond me. Perhaps he was hoping there were fish for him to eat. Or maybe he just wanted to play a joke on me. I tried to grab a camera and take a picture of him, however, he had gotten out of the pond by the time I returned with the camera. The basset hound had deprived me of my photo!

Yes, I changed the look of the site? Do you like it?
The question is, how did he get stuck in the pond to begin with?
Hummm.... I guess he could have fallen into the pond. There was no water, so he wouldn't sink ;) that is for sure!
My dogs have a certain bark that means "I'm (or the other dog) doing something I shouldn't and you need to know about it". I learned the hard way to not delay responding to that one! Bassets are probably THE most entertaining dog on the earth just because they do such innocent things as this one!
